We know the tremendous pressure and weariness experienced by many pastors and missionaries
Through years of friendship and dialog with pastors and missionaries all over the world, and from first-hand experience as well, we recognize the tremendous pressure, weariness and fatigue present in many of our pastors and missionaries.
NOACH founders Steve and Elaine Crowell, while missionaries in the US from 2004–2012, experienced the pressures and exhaustion that come with full-time Christian work while raising and maintaining financial support. They also experienced the generosity of a retreat center providing a night in a cabin free of charge. This planted the seed that became the vision to provide physical and spiritual resources for intentional rest for those in full-time ministry.
Retreats are planned and administered by Steve and Elaine Crowell along with a team of volunteers.
The model is Biblical. Jesus sought solitude. We need solitude. Stillness.
NOACH operates as a 501(c)(3) corporation with a board of directors. Board members come from a variety of walks of life and include missions-oriented men and women. The board gives guidance to the ministry to help it function efficiently and serve constituents well while maintaining the highest standards.
NOACH does not own land/buildings but utilizes existing housing such as retreat centers and cabins located throughout the U.S.
See RETREATS for more details on what to expect.
Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in
it, and find rest for your souls.
